‘Why CBD?’, We Hear You Ask

‘Why CBD?’, We Hear You Ask

A couple of weeks ago we revealed our brand-new Peppermint & Tea Tree with CBD range and it’s safe to say it went down a storm!

We’ve received some great feedback from you all, with the most popular question being ‘When can we buy it?’. The good news is you don’t have long to wait – it should be available by mid-May.

But there’s one more question that’s arisen a few times, and that’s Why did we choose to add CBD oil?’.

Sure, the benefits of peppermint essential oil and tea tree oil and well-known, and yes, they’d have made for great products even without the addition of CBD oil.

But we don’t just want great products. We want to continue to offer our customers fantastic products that really make a difference and solve your everyday problems.

In recent years CBD oil has been heralded as a wonder ingredient, able to cure all sorts of ailments, from anxiety and depression to heart disease and general pain relief.

But what about its use in cosmetics and grooming products?

Well, it has a three-pronged skincare approach:

  1. Anti-ageing
  2. Antioxidant
  3. Anti-inflammatory

As a natural plant-based ingredient, it unsurprisingly has antioxidant properties which help combat the signs of ageing.

Studies have shown that acne is an inflammatory condition. CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties help combat and prevent acne breakouts, resulting in clearer, healthier skin. It is also thought to help reduce the production of excess sebum (oil) produced by the skin.

As for the CDB in our hair products – shampoo, conditioner, beard oil and hair clay  here the benefits are equally as powerful. With 21 amino acids, and high levels of fatty acids and antioxidants it helps boost collagen and elastin which in turn strengthen the hair, resulting in longer, thicker, moisturised, well-conditioned hair.

Of course, we’ve been asked many more great questions and we’ll be answering all of them in due course. Keep your eyes peeled for a CBD FAQ page appearing soon on our website.

In the meantime, stay safe, and thank you for your continued support.
