We get asked this question all the time. And it's a great question! After all, there are numerous male grooming brands out there, so what’s so different about us?
Well, as with most successful brands, we were borne from the need to solve a problem. Two in fact.
The first? The growing pressure on men to look good but a lack of education around just how to do it, and the difference between the multitude of different, but seemingly similar, products on the market.
Walk into any high street cosmetics shop and you’re faced with an overwhelming number of choices. Got dry skin? Well, you can have a facial cream, a facial gel, a corrective cream, a hydrator, a water cream, a moisturiser, an infused water cream, a renewing cream…the list is endless!
And then you must work out how and when to use them!
You could ask the person behind the counter, but, as men, we know we’re probably not going to do that. It’s just like asking for directions!
That’s why we:
- Explain in detail, in easy to understand language, the key benefits of all our products on both our website and our social media channels;
- Provide directions for use on our website, on all product packaging and on how-to-use videos across social media.
So, you no longer need to nervously approach the attractive lady behind the counter and sheepishly reveal you have no idea what you’re doing!
The second problem we want to help address (and we’re certainly not saying we have the solution!) is male mental health.
It’s an alarming fact that suicide is the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day.
That’s why we created the MESOA For Men Community on our website. A safe, non-judgemental place for men to share their stories in the hope that it helps them and other men. By opening up and realising that others have gone through similar experiences we hope it can help even a small number of men seek the help they need.
And that help comes in a number of forms, one of which is our charity partner, CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably), to whom we donate 10% of all UK profits.
So please join us on our mission to empower men and change the lives for as many of those out there who are struggling as possible.
